New River Gorge National River - New River Gorge National River is a National Park Service-owned park designed to the protect the New River Gorge in southern West Virginia. The park, established in 1978, stretches for 53 miles from Hinton, West Virginia in Summers County to Hawks Nest State Park at Ansted, Fayette County.
Nyack Beach State Park - Nyack Beach State Park is a 61-acre state park along the Hudson River in at the north end of North Broadway in Upper Nyack in Rockland County, New York. The park offers picnicking, hiking, bicycling and fishing, and cross-country skiing in the winter; the hiking/cross-country trail runs for two miles along the river.
Long Path - The Long Path is a 330-mile (528 km) long-distance hiking trail running from George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey to Altamont, New York, in the Albany area. While not yet a continuous trail, relying on road walks in some areas, it nevertheless takes in many of the popular hiking attractions west of the Hudson River, such as the New Jersey Palisades, Harriman State Park, the Shawangunk Ridge and the Catskill Mountains.
