Our Documents: 100 Milestone Documents from the National Archives

Here is a fascinating collection of 100 documents that have changed American history. The documents are arranged chronologically with two or more pages devoted to each document. Each entry includes a color facsimile; an introduction to the document that places it in historical context constitution usa and a transcription of all or part of the document. A selection of photos from the National Archives helps establish the importance of these documents in American social history. French Constitution of 1793 - The Constitution of 1793, Constitution of 24 June 1793 (French: "Acte constitutionnel du 24 juin 1793"), or Montagnard Constitution (French: "Constitution montagnarde") was a national constitution of France ratified by the National Convention on June 24, 1793 during the French Revolution, but never applied, due to the suspension of all ordinary legality October 10, 1793. It was eventually supplanted by the French Constitution of 1795, which established the Directory.
